Defination of Happiness

Starting off with the definition, the word happiness is especially difficult to define because this definition may vary from person to person hence there are 8 billion definitions for the 8 billion people of the world, there are thousands of definitions proposed by different people across the world to shed light on this world yet not enough clearly define this word
Following points highlight a few aspects of the very word
1.      Thousands of books are published on this very topic which consists of just one word “happiness “in the past year.
2.      Universities are trying to teach this word and are many courses are offered to make people familiarize us with the concept hidden in this single word.
3.      More than 35 years of research is involved in its scientific study
4.      “International Day of Happiness” is also celebrated throughout the world
5.      Historian called it the ultimate aim of living and is proved through the history that a human being has always pursued it
It can roughly be defined as
Happiness is the emotion that surrounds us when we feel life is good we can't help but smile. It's the opposite of sadness. Hence it is a sense of well-being, joy, or contentment (or just the the feeling of it )”
To further explain the term lets use Arabic technique , in the Arabic  language “if you want to learn the  meaning of something compare it with something which it is not so here are few things which are NOT happiness …
1.  Happiness is not what you want because many achievers are seen miserable after they reach their goal
2.  Happiness is not what you have or what you are
3. Happiness is not “permanent” it is mostly temporary
4.  Happiness is different from pleasure (pleasure is linked with food, physical pursuits, etc.)
5. Happiness is not a gratification i.e. experience, most people associate it with the sensation or we can say it is not stimulation, hiking, long drive, etc.
6.   Happiness is not an attraction towards people, we feel happy to see the people we love
7.   Happiness is not excitement for a certain thing
So I will prefer everyone to create their own definition of happiness and try to stay with it as it may also change from time to time, for example, a mother may say “for me, happiness is the smile of my child” which may not be the case when that child grows
